Leftist Agenda Infiltrates OCPS, Celebrating Transgender Day

Reading, Writing, 'Rithmetic and now... Transgender Day? Yes, read right... that's the most recent example of the left-wing agenda infiltrating our public school system. Orange County Public Schools' latest decision to inject politics and sexual perversion into our school lesson plans cannot be pushed aside as a mere plea for fairness and inclusion.

The event, celerbated on 3/31 of this past year, was advertised as a day a "Transgender Day of Visibility" to "wear something that represents inclusion and kindness!" What does this mean? Simply displaying a pin? Or, wearing the wardrobe of the opposite sex? A great number of parents and community leaders have voiced concern over this program of indoctrination.

Proponetns of Transgender Day say it is needed to stop the inequality and unfairness found running rampant against the Transgender community in public schools. But let's look at the facts.

Transgender adults who undergo sex reassignment surgery as a result of gender dysphoria do exist. Transgender students do not. Though sex is determined from birth, sexuality in children does not begin to develop until their adolscent years. Any attempt to foist such a venal agenda on the minds of any child must be rejected for the benefit of our community and young people.

Some Orange County schools have gone a step further like Memorial Middle School (zip code 32805) by placing LGBTQ+ flags on the campus. Some social conservatives now wonder when the "Right to Life" flag will appear on campus, or the "Come and Take It" flag. "If we're going to politicize our schools," says one concerned parent at Memorial Middle School, "we need to be inclusive of all political viewpoints."

Most tend to agree, though, that schools should provide no space to political agendas on the left or right, but rather promote the values of integrity and American patriotism.

Nonetheless, OCPS seems to harbor its own ideas about integrity. In a press release by local politico Lou Marin, the GOP activist voiced concern about the district's new policy of "correcting" any "unwoke parents" and students about subjects relating to Transgender/LGBTQ+ issues, BLM and the Me Too Movement. "Character Lab" is an indoctrination program run by a third party platform, hellbent on targeting social conservatives and anyone in disagreement with the woke agenda OCPS has chosen to espouse.

While it is not immediately certain as to who is responsible for the program, it is hard to imagine the school board or superintendent not knowing about the project. Should the school board bear any responsibility, many constituents now wonder why conservative members would choose to take part in the institution of such anti-Republican policies.

Until the facts come to light, concerned residents may voice their opinions by reaching out to the commission and superintendent through phone and email.
