Orlando Businesses Honor America's Fallen in Afghanistan

Home Depot near Millenia Mall and Urban Flats of Winter Garden recently honored the thirteen American heroes who gave their lives in Afghanistan. Both locations have been known for demonstrating community spirit and supporting those who served. Employees said it was their way to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrafice both for the service of the country and protecting the defenseless abroad.

David Downs, a Navy veteran of 26 years and owner of Urban Flats, often takes the time to showcase acts of patriotism and service, in addition to showing financial support for first responders by donating a portion of his profits to organizations such as Tunnels to Towers.

The U.S. service members were killed in a suicide bombing attack near Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport last week as thousands sought to flee following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan. Countless numbers of businesses and individuals across the country have joined Home Depot as well, including local restaurants, diners and billboard companies, among many.
