OCPS Administered 12,000 Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine Last Month

Over the past month, Orange County Public Schools administered over 12,000 doses of the COVID-19 in local vaccination clinics.

OCPS stated on Tuesday 12,105 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administere last month for students, staff, families and the community, despite strong pushback from some local conservative voices.

"The turnout of those choosing to get vaccinated at our school-hosted events was terrific, many schools even showed an increase for the second round as compared to the first," stated OCPS Chief Communications Officer Scott Howat. "We hope parents continue to consider the benefits of vaccinations for their entire family, and consult with their medical provider if they have questions. OCPS remains committed to providing our schools as convenient and trusted locations for vaccine distribution, doing our part to combat the spread of COVID-19 in our community."

Several more dates for inolcation clinics inside OCPS properties are scheduled for early in 2022. A complete schedule may be found by clicking here.
