Orlando Local News Opens Forum for Florida's Persian-American Community

Women, Life, Freedom: A Forum for Persian-Americans in Central Florida is the latest addition to Orlando Local News. The forum is designed to establish dialogue on subjects related to protests and human rights abuses in Iran as seen through the eyes of the local Persian community.
The emphasis on life, freedom and women derives from three of the main causes of the Iranian people's recent redress: 1) The loss of life at the hands of the government; 2) the restriction on individual liberties imposed upon the people of that nation; 3) a push for more active involvement of women in Iranian politics and society.
Although all opinons will be welcome, the forum will place a special focus on members of the Orlando community of Iranian descent and their unique perspective on the current stressors and events in Iran today.
